What is the Book of MemoriesTM?
The Book of MemoriesTM is the most advanced permanent online memorial available for those wishing to pay tribute to the memory of a loved one, friend or co-worker. In essence, it is an individualized "Memorial Website" devoted to your loved one. We are pleased to make it available to the families and communities we serve, including families who may choose to use other area funeral homes.
Family Log-In
The Family Interactive features takes the Book of MemoriesTM far beyond a convenient and informative place to learn about service information leading up to the funeral. This lasting memorials allows authorized family members to securely access their loved one's Book of MemoriesTM page at any time and expand and grow their loved one's tribute. Authorized users can upload images of the deceased, add written tributes and even have play a video played using images of the deceased that have been uploaded.
Working with your funeral director, family members can also personalize the page's background image and choose background music to better reflect the life of their loved one. The username and passcode for the page can also be personalized to ensure ease of use by authorized users.
Lighting of a Candle & Sharing
The lighting of a candle provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family member during their time of need. Doing so also illustrates, for future generations, how their loved one brightened the lives of those they knew and loved.
The poet Elizabeth Barrett Browning wrote, "I love thee to the level of every day's most quiet need, by sun and candle light....I love thee with the breath, smiles, tears, of all my life." When you take the time to light a memorial candle in tribute to someone who touched your heart and made a difference in your life, you are leaving a visual record of the depth and breadth of a connection made; a meaningful connection which you will long remember and treasure. If you wish to light a memorial candle, simply visit your loved one's Book of MemoriesTM page, and click on the "Light a Memorial Candle" link to the left of the page. A permanent notice of your tribute will remain on the Book of MemoriesTM page. Please know that there is a $10 charge to light a candle, which is used to maintain al Book of MemoriesTM pages.
Other features of the Book of MemoriesTM page allow visitors to share a story, send a message of condolence, print a sympathy card, purchase flowers to be sent to the family, and upload pictures of the deceased.
Request a Book of MemoriesTM Page
We offer the Book of MemoriesTM page at no extra charge to any family served by the Wilson Funeral Home. However, any other member of the community not served by the Wilson Funeral Home, but who would like to request a Book of MemoriesTM page, may request that a page be created for their loved one at a nominal fee.
