Video Tributes

In 2011, the Wilson Funeral Home was the first funeral home in Chenango County, and beyond, to begin producing video tributes of deceased loved ones for families.  First, we scan images provided by the family and improve their quality using PhotoShip.  Or, we receive the images from the family on DVD or via email.  Our staff then creates the video in-house using specially designed software.  Any video can easily be customized according to the wishes of the family and in ways that reflect the life of the deceased.

Request a particular background or theme, add captions, and incorporate selections of the deceased's favorite music, and the final product is broadcast throughout the funeral home on various flat-screen TV's during visitation hours, or during a strategic point during a service in the funeral home.  These lasting tributes are a wonderful complement to any funeral service.

Also, copies can be made for family members to carry home with them and view anytime.

Keep in mind that a video tribute can be produced whether or not a visitation or funeral is planned. Moreover, we would be pleased to produce a tribute even if you decide to use another funeral home.
